Under the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 11,000 is given in three installments from the conception of the woman till the birth of the child, which is sent to the woman’s bank account through DBT. So that women can nurture their children properly. Along with financial assistance, all pregnant women are also provided free medicines and facilities for pre and post pregnancy medical check-up etc.

Details of financial assistance amount received under PM Matru Vandana Yojana

Under the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandana Yojana, financial assistance is provided to the beneficiary woman in two installments. If a woman is going to become a mother for the first time, then she will be given an amount of Rs 5000 under this scheme. After this, if a daughter is born for the second time, the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 6,000. Thus, a total amount of Rs 11,000 is given under this scheme. Women becoming mothers for the first time are given Rs 5,000, details of which are given below.

• An assistance amount of Rs 3,000 is given in the first installment after getting the pregnancy registered and doing ANC at least once.
• Second installment: An assistance amount of Rs 2,000 is given after birth registration of the child and first phase vaccination.
• Under this scheme, if the second child is a girl, Rs 6,000 is given. Which will be given to the beneficiary in one installment only.
• The money of all these installments is transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary.
