What is Khelo India scheme

Khelo India Scheme has been started by the Government of India. This is an important scheme of the country through which players will be selected from every part of the country. And they will be given training in their sports field. The entire expense will be borne by the government. Sports is a very important pillar for the overall development of our country.

India has made steady progress in the field of sports over the past few years. Our country has the highest youth population. There is still a great need to showcase this tremendous potential on the global stage. It is time that we inspire young talent, provide them top class infrastructure and highest level training.

What are the benefits after selection in Khelo India Scheme?

Talented players identified in priority sports disciplines at various levels will be given training with financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh per year for 8 years.
